Why the Flow Setting Changes Everything
Most device pages on this site can quote a runtime range of maybe two to one. Here it is closer to seven to one, because a concentrator’s compressor works proportionally harder to concentrate oxygen at a higher flow rate.

Continuous Output, Not Surge, Is What Rules Units Out

No Power Station Covers a Full Night at a High Setting

At a high flow setting a concentrator needs something in the region of 4,800Wh to run eight hours, and that is before inverter losses. The largest units we track top out at roughly 4,000Wh, so even the biggest battery on the page falls short of the raw figure. Buying up does not solve this problem, and any page that implies otherwise is selling you something.
What actually covers an overnight outage:
- Backup oxygen cylinders from your supplier. This is the standard answer, it is what suppliers provide for exactly this reason, and it does not depend on electricity at all.
- Telling your utility you are on a medical priority register. Most utilities keep one. It affects how quickly your street is restored and whether anyone checks on you.
